2024 Boys Spring Season

What is spring regional?

Spring regional is a two and a half month season, great for players who are multiple sport athletes or want to just start club volleyball. In a spring sport in school, no problem. Sky High allows athletes to participate in school sports while in season.

Practices will be held at our North Shore location in Libertyville. Teams will conduct practices on Tuesdays and Fridays from 5:00-7:00pm. All practices sessions will provide quality repetitions, build strong fundamentals and provide great competition.

All tournaments will take place within 90 minutes of our Libertyville facility. To complete the season, teams will compete in the ASICS two day end of season event held at Navy Pier in Downtown Chicago. This event plays host to teams from across the country. All athletes will be guaranteed court time at ALL events.

This program is open to all players.  If you played for another club during the winter season you may need to obtain a release from your club to participate with Sky High.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE TRYOUTS

At the completion of the tryouts, athletes will be informed whether they are receiving an offer to the program. When an athlete receives an offer to the program, they will be asked to stay and complete a uniform fitting immediately following the tryout. This is the only scheduled uniform fitting for this program, so if an athlete misses the fitting, they will need to schedule an appointment in our Crystal Lake location for a make-up fitting.

Athletes receiving an offer to the program will receive an email from Sky High Volleyball sent via SportsEngine with a link to sign a contract and make payment in full on the program dues. (Payment plans *may* be available, and anyone needing to request a payment plan should call the Crystal Lake office the morning after receiving their offer and ask for Deb Labaz, the finance manager, to request a payment plan.

Athletes have until 1:00 PM on Friday, March 22 to accept their spot in the program, complete the registration, and make payment.

We are projecting two (2) Boys 14u Spring Regional Teams for the 2024 Spring Season. The teams will be divided based on ability. Team splits will be made no later than the end of the 2nd practice day. Because the teams will play in the same events, we reserve the right to move players from team to team after the first event based on performance.

Included in Dues

In the past we have required all athletes to purchase a USAV membership. However, because the teams in this program will not be participating in any USAV Sanctioned events, we have instead decided to sanction this team with JVA insurance for practices and a combination of JVA and AAU insurance (including AAU memberships) for events. The cost of the AAU membership is included in the program dues.
