Alumni Allí Splitt joins the UIS coaching staff

Congratulations to Sky High Alumni, All Splitt on her recent announcement as the new Assistant Coach to the University of Illinois Springfield! Go ALLI!

University of Illinois Springfield volleyball head coach Trey Salinas announced today that Alli Splitt has been named an assistant coach for the Prairie Stars. Splitt was an All-American for UIS during her four-year playing career.
 
"I am ecstatic that Alli Splitt has decided to extend her stay with her UIS volleyball family and continue to contribute to the success she helped create," said Salinas. "Alli will play a vital role on the coaching staff in helping develop the future of UIS volleyball."
 
From 2016-19, Splitt played in 130 matches and 470 sets. She recorded 1,218 kills, 80 service aces, 260 digs, 436 blocks, and 1,546 points. In 2018, she was named first-team all-GLVC and honorable mention All-American, and a year later was named second-team all-GLVC.
 
Splitt was a part of the top four-year stretch in program history in which the Prairie Stars went 77-53, including three straight seasons of 19 wins or more. She was a member of the 2018 team which won the GLVC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
 
Splitt is the program's all-time leader with a .329 hitting percentage. She also ranks second in career kills and points, and third in career blocks. She also holds school records for single-season hitting percentage (.367), and single-match hitting percentage (.700) and blocks (15).
 
Splitt, who is originally from Cary, Ill., graduated in 2020 from UIS with a degree in Psychology. She earned two GLVC academic all-conference honors, and in 2020, also received the GLVC Brother James Gaffney Distinguished Scholar Award.
