VolleyMob.com selected Rachel Giustino as an honorable mention for its national Player of the Week.

After being named Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week, Monday, junior outside hitter Rachel Giustino added another honor, Tuesday, as VolleyMob.com selected her as an honorable mention for its national Player of the Week.

Giustino led the Racers to a 2-0 weekend as they defeated SIU Edwardsville and Eastern Illinois, each in straight sets. She averaged 5.17 kills per set while also being second on the team with 5.17 digs per set. The Algonquin, Illinois native had 17 kills and 14 digs while hitting .341 against SIUE and followed up that strong performance with 14 kills and a season-high 17 digs against EIU. She also added four assists and four service aces in the two matches.

Giustino currently leads the OVC in kills, averaging 4.27 per set, more than half a kill better than next best. She has also recorded six straight double-doubles.

The Racers are back in action, Friday, when they travel to Nashville to take on Tennessee State at 6 p.m.
