Beach Volleyball

Train. Compete. Elevate.

Why Train in the Sand?

The Sky High Advantage

Beach volleyball isn’t just exciting — it’s incredibly beneficial for your athlete’s overall development! Training in the sand improves jumping ability, speed, agility, and endurance. The unstable surface strengthens stabilizing muscles and builds explosive power that carries over to indoor play.

Because beach is played 2v2, athletes touch the ball far more often than in traditional 6v6. More touches mean more reps in passing, setting, attacking, and serving — accelerating skill development and confidence.

Playing in the sand also challenges athletes to master ball control and all-around skills, building well-rounded players who can compete in both beach and indoor volleyball. The unique environment enhances decision-making, communication, and resilience, creating smarter, stronger, and more adaptable athletes.

Join Sky High Volleyball and take your game to new heights — in the sand!

Choosing the Right Program

Full & Short Season Programs

(Grades 5–12)

Choose between Full Season or Short Season programs. Develop technical skills, game strategy, and overall athleticism with passing, setting, hitting, and movement in the sand. Includes opportunities for local and regional competition.

Key Highlights:

  • Full and Short Season options
  • Develop advanced techniques and game understanding
  • Improve speed, agility, and endurance in the sand

Our Beginner/Intermediate program focuses on teaching fundamentals and skills for athletes new to sand and/or indoor volleyball. Advanced/Competitive training gears toward a higher level of team beach training. Age does not matter but groups are limited to ~8 athletes per court/coach and focus on advanced skills and strategy for tournaments and competitions.

We recommend at least 1–2 years of prior sand training or 2+ years of elite/high school indoor experience (JO or Varsity). Athletes can be invited or request to move up or down in training levels based on progress
